The Digital Media course of study will prepare students with the technical skills and practical experience which will equip them to plan, produce, and present creative solutions to communication problems using a variety of digital media. All students taking this course in video production, and web and graphic design will be provided with training in Television studio and on-location video production. Students will gain an introductory knowledge of the skills and techniques that are used by the experts in that field.
The course of study includes planning, preparing, and producing a variety of media projects. In Digital Media students will learn lighting, audio, switching, multi-camera operation, TV graphics, teleprompter operation, directing, and non-linear editing. The students will learn through the use of the latest computer software including: Adobe’s Creative Suite and Apple’s Final Cut Pro, Motion, and DVD Studio Pro. Productions will be outputted to tape, CD, DVD, and Web. Special emphasis will be placed on using teamwork to solve problems and make creative contributions.
